Cat
Choosing a healthy cat is an optional course for every new owner. Only with good conditions can the cat thrive. How to judge whether a cat is healthy or not, we can look at the following aspects:
Eyes: The eyes are bright, not sobbing, free of any penetration, and the eyes are of the same size.
Ears: Ears are clean and erect (except Scottish flat-eared cats), with little or no earwax and no other foreign matter. A healthy cat should respond quickly to the owner's shouts or other sounds in a safe environment, and its ears should shake back and forth after hearing it. Sick cats or deaf cats have little or no response to sounds.
Nose: The front of the nose should be moist and cool, but with a lot of penetration. When the nose is dry, it indicates that the cat may be suffering from a thermal disease (such as infectious disease). However, cats’ noses get dry when they sleep.
Oral cavity: The surrounding area of the mouth should be clean and dry, free of saliva and food, and free of bad breath. The gums, tongue and palate should be pink, and the teeth should be white or slightly yellow, with no missing teeth.
Skin and coat: The skin is soft and elastic, the skin is neither cold nor hot, and it is gentle and comfortable to the touch. The coat is deep, soft and lustrous, with no bald spots, no redness or lumps on the skin. Free of lice, fleas and other parasites.
Anus: The anus and external genitalia should be clean and free of penetration, and the surrounding coat should not be stained with fecal matter. If it is extremely dirty, it may indicate diarrhea or reproductive system diseases.
In addition, the function of internal organs should also be checked.
