Green turtle
Animals and plants After the combination, not only cordyceps are expensive, but also the cute green turtles! In our country, we have a long history of breeding green turtles, and the people have rich traditional breeding experience and a set of evaluation methods.
The species are named based on the different locations where the filamentous green algae grows. Those with algae on their heads are called "peony heads" and are rare species; there are algae on the carapace. Those born on the carapace and plastron are called "Tiandiying", which are rare species; those with algae on one foot of the turtle are called "double tassels", and those with two algae on them are called "Tianying". Those with algae on their front or back feet are called "double tassels", which is also a rare species. Those with algae on their carapace, ventral carapace, head and four legs are called "Five Sons winning the first prize" and are valuable species.
The key technique for cultivating green turtles is how to transplant Basilidium algae onto the back of the turtle. The general method is as follows:
In spring and autumn, the most suitable seasons for algae growth, the water temperature is between 16-25 degrees for cross-breeding. First, place the cross-bred turtle in a basin filled with clean water, clean the turtle body with a brush and a sponge, especially the turtle back, and roughen the turtle back with sandpaper. Then wipe the turtle body with gauze, wipe the turtle's back and abdomen with ginger repeatedly, so that there is a certain amount of ginger juice on the turtle shell, let it cool naturally, and then apply an appropriate amount of agar culture liquid. When breeding, put the base turtle into a clean goldfish tank, with only one turtle in each tank. Wash the recovered basal algae, put one ball into the tank, cut the other basal algae into pieces, wrap it with gauze, wring out the green water (i.e. the cells of basal algae) with your hands and put it in In the goldfish tank containing the turtle, immerse the turtle 3-4 cm in green water, cover the mouth of the tank with mesh, and place it in front of a bright window. During this period, no water was changed, no food was added, and the above water temperature was maintained. After 20-30 days, a layer of green appears on the turtle's back, and the breeding is successful.
