Red Bamboo Snakes (definite introduction)
The growth method of the red bamboo snake is oviposition, and it mainly rests on the plains and forests in the wilderness. It has a relatively gentle nature and has always been very popular with humans. The red bamboo snake is a typical nocturnal snake and usually moves at night.
Under artificial breeding, only newly born suckling mice (pinky/fussy) are accepted, but there are also records of people experiencing eating adult mice (mice). Food should be fed at night to avoid waste. Do not play with it after foraging, otherwise it may cause sudden death. Feed 2 to 4 times a month.
Growth:
Mating and spawning will occur from June to July, with a clutch of 3 to 6 eggs. Incubate at room temperature. The incubation period is 49 to 60 days.
Overwintering:
All subspecies have the custom of hibernation. The dormant period requires a drier environment, and the humidity in the box needs to be reduced to 40%~50%. Never add heat.
Finally, the red bamboo snake is recognized as a snake that is more difficult to raise. If so, the only way to extend the breeding life is to give and protect its natural conditions as much as possible and avoid too much handling. There are cases of successful development of second-generation CB individuals in the United States, Taiwan and Japan.
