Milk frogs rest in the tropical rainforest areas of South America. They have a unique brown and white camouflage, which is not common among the tree frogs. They often rest on trees or in tree holes, unlike ordinary trees. Frogs resting on leaves or between leaves are also completely different, so they develop a special brown-white protective color. It is also a huge tree frog in size, larger and more abundant than the red-eyed tree frog. It is also a nocturnal frog. The back of the milk frog is covered with white bumps. When threatened, it will exude a milky white slightly poisonous liquid similar to milk, which deters predators from attacking, so it is named the milk frog. In fact, their body color is just like coffee with milk, and it is also like the markings of a cow. The mystery of the Creator is fully demonstrated.
The feeding of milk frogs is the same as that of ordinary tree frogs, and the food types are also the same. Their food intake is larger than that of red-eyed tree frogs, and they are more likely to forage on the ground, as long as it is live food that they can swallow, such as crickets, cockroaches, and mealworms. They all take it as ordered, and their characteristics are more gorgeous and bright than the red-eyed tree frog. However, it is best not to breed tree frogs with other species when raising them. It seems that there will be a tendency to compete with each other and cause casualties.
During the growth period, male frogs will sing, and female frogs and male frogs will mate and lay eggs in the water. This is very different from other tree frogs that lay eggs in trees. Often female frogs can lay about 2,000 frog eggs, which are very prolific. They will hatch into tadpoles in about 1-2 days. The tadpoles can be raised on moss and juvenile fish feed and can be transformed into tadpoles in about 20 days at a water temperature of 25-26 degrees. Young frogs can be raised with ants, crickets or fruit flies and will grow in about six months. Milk frogs can live up to 10-15 years, so the fun of raising them can last a very long time.
