Purple Sand Snake
Purple Sand Snake is as the name suggests. , the snake's body and back color are very similar to purple sand, so many people also call it the tea-spotted snake. The body length of an adult purple sand snake is about 471mm. Purple sand snakes are mainly distributed in South China in the world. The southeast coast can reach northern Fujian. The northernmost part of Central China is recorded as Changsha, Hunan. Overseas, we also rest in places such as Malay Island.
The purple sand snake has posterior groove teeth; a large head with obvious snout edges; large eyes and slightly concave cheeks. The back is purple-brown; there are symmetrical green-brown vertical stripes on the back and sides of the head, spreading to the rear, and there are generally irregular "∧" shaped patterns or reticulate patterns on the back of the body. There are 17 rows of dorsal scales in the middle part of the body; 148-166 abdominal scales; complete anal scales; 42-57 pairs of lower tail scales.
